The Five Stages of a Reverse Osmosis System

• Stage 1 is a sediment filter which serves to remove physical particles.
• Stage 2 is a carbon block filter which serves to remove unwanted chemicals.
• Stage 3 is the reverse osmosis membrane which removes up to 98% of dissolved mineral salts, metals, and other contaminants.
• Stage 4 Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) filter which removes unwanted tastes and odors.
• Stage 5 AIRCO filter which removes additional tastes and odors.
